3 Tips to Make your Social Media Images POP!

There are plenty of articles, blogs, posts, books, and sites telling you  different things that make your social media better. That can be a little overwhelming and you might find you have no idea where to start. Well, fear no longer because here are the three definitive, simplest ways to elevate your image game when competing in the social media landscape.

  1. Take your pictures in portrait mode

    1. More social media platforms are transforming into full screen capabilities, make use of the extra space by adding more of your brand! And don’t forget to tap on your subject on your screen to focus your lens!

  2. Check Your Lighting

    1. Make sure you have natural light whenever possible and that its facing your subject not you, unless you want a shadow figure to be the feature of you next post!

  3. Mind your background

    1. If your subject has colorful clothing or is a colorful product, it’s best to stick to a simple background. That way your audience will focus on the right thing. Alternatively, blur the background. If your subject has plain patterns or neutral colors, this is your time to play with interesting background choices.

    2. Keep your eyes peeled for any unwanted photobombers like street trash, a distant trashcan or even Cousin Jerry! Stay out of our shot! You can always edit out anything distracting in your pictures if you can’t avoid them IRL.
